Dallas County has seen record cases of COVID-19 in the past few days, exceeding 1,000 new positive tests a day. Elsewhere in the state, hospitals are hitting maximum capacity.

"Together We Test" is a city-wide collaboration of ministers and churches, community leaders, health professionals and volunteers

On Tuesday, Texas surpassed 10,000 new coronavirus cases in a single day for the first time as a resurgence of the outbreak rages across the U.S.

That followed Republican Gov. Greg Abbott's decision to mandate masks in much of the state and to close bars, retreating from what had been one of America's fastest reopenings.
