WATCH: Employee sacked for bathing in restaurant's kitchen sink, video goes viral

A bit of unusual fun during work hours cost a restaurant employee his job in Milton, USA. The man, working at fast food chain Wendy’s, was sacked after a video of him bathing in the kitchen’s industrial sink went viral.

In a video of the incident, the former employee is seen getting down to his shorts and jumping into the industrial sink filled with foam. The video is being recorded by his colleagues, who are seen egging him on and laughing, while urging him to wash his armpits and more.

After the employee was sacked, Mike Johnson, director of marketing for the company, without divulging further details, in a statement, said, “We are taking this incident seriously and it is obviously totally unacceptable. This was a prank by a person who no longer works at this restaurant, and who clearly did not use good judgment. We are taking this opportunity to reinforce our very strict quality procedures with our restaurant team.”

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation also took note of the incident and inspected the restaurant. Even the managers were also briefed about the procedures.
