WATCH: People rush to rescue driver after truck overturns on Chicago highway, netizens laud efforts

A video posted on Twitter shows people coming together to rescue a driver who was stuck inside his pickup truck on Tuesday in Illinois, Chicago.

In an act of compassion, a video surfaced on social media saw people coming together to rescue a truck driver who's pick up truck toppled on the streets of US's Chicago. 

In an incident of tire burst, the pickup truck flipped over to the edge of the road. As soon as the accident occurred, vehicles were seen slowing down and rushing to help the driver stuck inside a toppled truck.

An ariel video was shared by an international news outlet, wherein the dramatic sequence was recorded, wherein people could be seen coming together and moving the truck on the side, aiding the driver to get out.

Around six to eight people were seen working out ways in which the driver can be rescued. However, with no other way insight, the rescuers decided to put the vehicle in a position where the driver can make his way out through the door. The group was soon joined by more people who turned the truck over. With a joint effort, the truck driver was rescued after the Samaritans cut off his seatbelt.

In the aftermath of the rescue, paramedics arriver on the scene and took the driver to a nearby hospital. The driver suffered non-fatal injuries.
