On this Day/ World AIDS Day 2023: How power of technology in the quest for an HIV cure

We observe World AIDS Day for the 36th year today. Every year on this day, December 1st, the world comes together to remember those impacted by HIV/AIDS, fight prejudice, and raise awareness of this horrendous disease.   

This day represents the advancements made in the fight against HIV/AIDS as well as the vital part that each of us must play in ensuring that this terrible disease doesn't exist in the future.  

First celebrated in the year 1988, World AIDS Day was established to highlight the international commitment to stop the spread of HIV and to show support for those who are infected. On this day, millions of people including notable personalities wear red ribbons around the world as a show of awareness and solidarity.  

Over the years, there have been remarkable advancements in HIV/AIDS research, treatment, and prevention. From Antiretroviral therapy (ART) to App based sex education awareness, the technology has transformed the lives of those living with HIV, enabling them to lead healthier and more productive lives.
