Hyundai sets global sales target of 4.24 million vehicles for 2024
Kia Corp plans to sustain its 2023 target by selling 3.2 million vehicles worldwide in 2024.
Hyundai's 2024 target: Hyundai Motor Co has announced a global sales target of 4.24 million vehicles for 2024, marking a slight decrease of around 2 per cent from its 2023 target of 4.32 million vehicles. Meanwhile, its affiliate, Kia Corp, aims to maintain its 2023 target by selling 3.2 million vehicles worldwide.
As the automotive sector enters 2024, there is a notable trend amongst major players who are prioritising the inclusion of Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) in their product line-ups. Hyundai is set to introduce an upgraded mid-size SUV, the Creta, into the Indian auto market as part of this industry-wide emphasis on SUV models.
Transmission variety and colour choices
The highly anticipated Hyundai Creta facelift set to be unveiled in the third week of January, features comprehensive updates and provides three engine options: 1.5l MPi Petrol, 1.5l Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol, and 1.5l U2 CRDi Diesel.
The SUV will feature four transmission options, including a 6-speed manual, IVT (intelligent variable transmission), 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission), and 6-speed automatic transmission. Prospective buyers, requiring only Rs 25,000 as token money, can choose from six mono-tone colour options and one dual-tone option, such as "Robust Emerald Pearl (New), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey," and "Atlas White with Black Roof."
Hyundai Motor India Ltd has started accepting bookings for the updated version of the mid-size SUV Creta, scheduled for an official launch on January 16. Prospective buyers can secure the five-seater SUV through authorised Hyundai dealerships or the online platform 'Click To Buy.' The revised Creta offers three engine options and four transmission choices, catering to a range of preferences. The colour palette comprises six mono-tone options and one dual-tone choice in "Atlas White with Black Roof."
