Winter is here and as much as everyone enjoys this season, we must keep in mind the health irregularities that it brings. The low temperatures deeply impact our daily efficacy and can pose a problem when performing day to day tasks. However, it is not all that bad. If you are someone who is suffering from cold, cough, sore throat, amid the cold wave, here are a few home remedies that will help you. 

Honey, ginger and tulsi mix 

Mix all the above mentioned ingredients and make a herbal tea out of it. This ayurvedic herbal tea remedy will immediately cure your cold. Also, it can help in soothing your throat. 

Turmeric milk 

Turmeric milk, also called golden milk, is known for its multifold benefits. Turmeric, or haldi, has many antibacterial properties. It is also rich in antioxidants. This is why turmeric is a great immunity booster. All you need to do is add some turmeric to a cup of warm milk and you are good to go.

Salt water gargles 

This is one of the most practiced remedies. It also happens to be one of the best ways to get rid of cough. All you need to do is heat some water and add half a tablespoon of salt to it. Use it for gargling and see your cough subside within hours. 

Soups

If consumed the right kind, it can reduce the severity of cold and speed up recovery. Soups can also keep you warm and provide plenty of essential nutrients that help in boosting your immune system.

Mulethi 

Mulethi, or liquorice, is one of the oldest tricks to cure cough. If you have a sore throat and are suffering from a constant cough, chew a mulethi stick and see it vanish.
