Doctors performing hilarious ‘constipation dance’ break the internet. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone starrer Piku directed by Shoojit Sircar had same theme.

In an undated video that has been circulating on social media for what is reportedly years, a group of Indian doctors are seen demonstrating constipation in an innovative way. The doctors groove to old Hindi songs with apt lyrics which aide in explaining the irritable bowel syndrome. The video starts with ‘Suhani Raat’ by Mohammad Rafi, followed by the peppy ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’ by Himesh Reshammiya and ‘Aati Nahi’ from the film ‘Prem' in their struggle in the journey of getting a clear motion. Holding their tummies, exerting pressures, showing anxiety, fretting over it, the docs rightly show what patients go through if they have constipation.

Response to the video

Though the video has been in social media just after a year or two of the release of the movie, 'Piku', which is an epic masterpiece on the ailment, it was reshared by a user on Facebook which has garnered loads of views, comments and reshares. The video shared by Arijita Banerjee on Facebook has been viewed 670K times and shared 12K times. Likewise, about 4.5K have liked the video. Take a look at the video.

When 'constipation' reached the mainstream media

In 2015, Shoojit Sircar came up with his masterpiece 'Piku' which is based on the story of a septuagenarian who struggles with constipation and his daughter who deals with it. The film was produced by N. P. Singh, Ronnie Lahiri, and Sneha Rajani. Piku is played by Deepika Padukone while Amitabh Bachchan plays the constipated dad along with other stars - Irrfan Khan, Moushumi Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta portraying supporting roles. Piku is a short-tempered girl who has to listen to her dad's irritable bowel syndromes every single day.
