On Saturday, Iga Swiatek clinched her third consecutive French Open championship and fourth in five years with a commanding victory over Jasmine Paolini, triumphing 6-2, 6-1 in the final. Despite an early 2-1 deficit on Court Philippe Chatrier, the top-seeded Swiatek rallied to claim the next 10 games, securing the opening set and racing to a 5-0 lead in the second. With this win, she extends her remarkable winning streak at Roland Garros to 21 matches, boasting an impressive career record of 35-2 at the venue.

At just 23 years old, Swiatek becomes the first woman since Justine Henin (2005-2007) to secure three consecutive titles in Paris. Her triumph adds to her victories at the French Open in 2020 and the U.S. Open in 2022, maintaining an undefeated 5-0 record in major finals.
Paolini, the 12th seed and a 28-year-old from Italy, made her debut in a Grand Slam final. Prior to this, she had never advanced past the second round in any of the four major tournaments until reaching the fourth round at the Australian Open earlier in the year.

Despite her loss, Paolini has another opportunity for glory as she is set to compete in the French Open women’s doubles final on Sunday alongside partner Sara Errani. They will face off against the duo of 2023 U.S. Open singles champion Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova.
