Randy Orton reveals he had a backup plan if he fails to return after the career-threatening injury

Randy Orton reveals what he would have done if he had to forcefully retire after the career-threatening injury and he indicated that he had a backup in place.

Randy Orton has been a vital part of the WWE and he has excelled as a heel and a babyface. The third-generation superstar has been a popular figure among the fans, just like his father and grandfather were back in the day. The Viper has come off on what was believed to be a career-threatening back issue, which would have taken him off-action forever and he had to step down from something he has loved to do since stepping into the squared circle. In case he had to go through retirement, Orton had a backup option in mind if he had to part ways with professional wrestling.

Randy Orton reveals what he would have done if he had to retire from wrestling

While speaking to Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Randy Orton revealed what he would have done if the door to professional wrestling had to be closed down forever. Orton would have been eager to stay with the Connecticut-based wrestling promotion, highlighting that he would have been available to the upstart wrestlers as a trainer or a coach. But he intends to be tied with the WWE forever.

"So I don't see any reason why I gotta leave. I see being a part of the WWE family from here on out and if I would've been able to go back to WWE, I would've coached and trained," Randy Orton revealed.

Randy Orton returned during the 2023 Survivor Series: War Games PLE as he came out as a part of Team Rhodes against The Judgement Day. He has been a mainstay in television and was a part of WrestleMania XL in a united States Championship Triple threat match against champion Logan Paul and Kevin Owens. The viper was recently in the King of the Ring Final against Gunther. He hasn't been on WWE TV since his loss at the PLE in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. But it looks like Orton has a few more years in the ring, and perhaps he also aims for a championship run as he continues his beautiful journey in the realm of wrestling.
