Badshah and Honey Singh began their careers as part of the rap group Mafia Mundeer. The band also included rappers Raftaar and Lil Golu.

Over the past few years, Honey Singh and Badshah have been engaging in a war of words through their rap music, in interviews and during live performances.

Badshah and Honey Singh were close friends and collaborators before they fell apart in 2012 and Mafia Mundeer broke up.

The Millionaire album marked Honey Singh's comeback after his hiatus from music during 2014-2015 due to health and other personal issues.

A video of Honey Singh dissing Badshah without taking his name as he kicked off his India tour has been going viral on social media.

Badshah had earlier joked about Honey Singh not being able to stage a comeback and now, with the latter in the spotlight once again after the release of Millionaire album, the tables have turned.

It is speculated that the fight stemmed from credit war on the album International Villager. Honey Singh reportedly gave no credit to Badshah on the songs.

Badshah also claimed that he wrote the lyrics of some of Honey Singh's hit tracks like Brown Rang, but was never credited.

Raftaar also took potshots at Honey Singh in his raps but with time, the animosity between the two subsided. This has not been the case with Singh and Badshah.

Over the years the fallout turned ugly with Honey Singh and Badshah taking public digs at each other on social media.
