New Delhi: The Railways Recruitment Board is recruiting to fill vacancies of 2250 seats. The Recruitment Board has released a notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (Exe.) and Constables (Exe.) in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).
Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the posts by visiting the official website at rpf.indianrailways.gov.in.
The recruitment process aims to fill a total of 2250 posts, including 2000 constables and 250 sub-Inspectors. Out of the total vacancies, 10 per cent of seats is reserved for ex-servicemen whereas 15 per cent has been earmarked for women.
The selection of candidates will take place in three phases
Phase I: Computer Based Test (CBT): The test will be conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).
Phase II: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT): This test will be conducted by the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Phase III: Document Verification: In the last phase, documents will be verified by the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Those who are between 20 to 25 years of age can apply for the post of Sub Inspector (Executive) whereas those between 18 to 25 years can apply for the post of Constable (Executive). However, upper-age relaxation applies to the candidates from the reserved categories.
Note: A degree from a recognized university for Sub-Inspector and a matriculation certificate for Constable from a recognized Board shall only be valid.
The examination for Sub Inspector post will be of graduation level while for Constable it will be of matriculation (Class 10th) level.
To qualify for the Computer Based Test (CBT), it will be necessary for a candidate to obtain 35% marks (30% marks by SC and ST candidates).
The result of the CBT will be finalized by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) concerned. The call letter for the PET/PMT will be issued by RRB in consultation with the Nodal Officer of RPF.
