Shocking video shows 2-year-old boy crushed by SUV in Bidar

Bidar: In a distressing incident, a toddler lost his life after he was run over by an SUV in Bidar in Karnataka. The two-and-half-year-old child playing by the roadside was trying to cross the road when the vehicle mowed him down. The incident which took place on Tuesday evening was caught on CCTV camera. The footage shows the vehicle entering the lane that the child was trying to cross. After making it half through the way, the child stopped unexpectedly and got crushed by the white-coloured SUV. In the video, the child can be seen lying on the road. 

Moments later, a man from inside the car, parked nearby, noticed the motionless child and then rushed towards the child. He alerted the locals, following which a case was registered at Gandhi Ganj police station in the district. The accused driver fled from the scene after leaving the child dead. Further investigation into the matter is underway. More details are awaited.
