Dense fog at Delhi airport delays 80 flights
The weather department issued a "cold-day" alert and said "dense to very dense fog" is likely to be witnessed in Delhi-NCR today and tomorrow.
New Delhi: The dense fog continued to disrupt the Delhi airport operations yet again on Saturday amid the cold wave in north India. Around 80 flights are facing delays at Indira Gandhi International Airport owing to the bad weather conditions. Residents in Delhi-NCR woke up to a foggy morning on Saturday.
The weather department issued a "cold-day" alert and said "dense to very dense fog" is likely to be witnessed in Delhi-NCR today and tomorrow. Both Delhi and NCR recorded straight hours of dense fog Thursday and Friday, marking the longest dense fog spell of the season. The national capital recorded its worst fog spell this Wednesday where the visibility was almost zero in several areas.
