Ravi Shastri goes comical after witnessing Indian collapse

Team India's bowlers started the new year on a blistering note. The pace battery of Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mukesh Kumar left the South African innings in tatters, as they could only get to the petite score of 55. Indian batters did not have a challenging task in mind but a job was there to be done. The batters could not make the most of the momentum earned by the bowlers.

While it was all going well when Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were on strike, at the score of 153/4 disaster struck Team India. Lungi Ngidi's 6th over changed the entire complexion of the game as he took three wickets in the over. In the next over, Rabada removed Kohli, then Siraj got himself run out and Prasidh Krishna then edged it to slips to end the misery. From 153/4 to 153/10, two overs and a total of 6 batsmen went back to the tunnel.

Witnessing the explicit turmoil, Ravi Shastri, who was in the commentary box could not hold his witty side. He quipped, “If someone went around the corner for a dump and has come back, India has been bowled out for 153.”

India still have a chance despite horrible collapse

Such was the horrendous show that many such statements made waves on the internet. However, when it comes to the context of the game, the match is nicely set up. Despite the horrendous show, Team India was able to attain a 98-run lead, and at the end of the day's play South Africa lost 3 batters at the score of 62. They still trail by 36 runs. Hence, a vital morning session of Day 2 is awaited.
