Tragedy strikes again: Pakistan woman and 8 children perish in roof collapse

The Pakistani officials reported that a short circuit caused a fire resulting in the collapse of the roof of a mud house in northwest Pakistan, leading to the tragic death of a woman and her eight children on Sunday. The incident took place at Tahari village in the Abbottabad district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as stated by rescue officials.

A woman and her eight children, including four daughters, perished in the incident, as locals retrieved the nine lifeless bodies from the wreckage of the collapsed structure. The victims' ages were not known. Immediate efforts were initiated to manage the situation, with rescue officials, supported by three ambulances and aided by residents, working tirelessly to quell the blaze.

Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Arshad Hussain, expressed grief and sorrow over the incident and offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed souls The community mourned the loss as authorities investigated the cause of the tragic incident, working to ensure the safety of other residents in the area.

As reported by Geo News, in July, a lethal fire claimed the lives of 10 members of the same family, including an infant and a woman, when the compressor of their refrigerator exploded in a house in the Bhati Gate area of Lahore. The victims included a man, his wife, two other women, five children, and a seven-month-old baby. Only one member of the family managed to escape the deadly fire by jumping off the building. Rescue officials confirmed that the fire erupted due to an explosion in the fridge's compressor, noting that the house had no ventilation to allow the smoke to dissipate.
