Sridevi died from "Accidental Drowning"

Actor Sridevi died from "accidental drowning", a report released by the UAE's Ministry of Health's Department of Preventive Medicine has stated. 

As per Gulf News, under the influence of alcohol, Sridevi lost her balance, fell into the bathtub and died.

Meanwhile, Republic TV can also confirm that Dubai Police has released the forensic report of Sridevi to her family and the Indian Consulate.

Earlier, sources had confirmed to Republic TV that Sridevi's body had been found in a bloated state and that she had not left her hotel room for 2-3 days before she was found. Medical aid had been called in and helped pull Sridevi's body out of the bathtub.

It is unknown at this point at what time the mortal remains of Sridevi will be released to be brought back to India. Anil Ambani's private jet is to bring back her mortal remains and the last rites are expected to take place in Mumbai. A number of important persons from the industry are slated to attend.

In news that had shocked the nation, Sridevi had been found dead in her room on Saturday night in Dubai where she had gone to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. The initial cause was said to be cardiac arrest.
