Kawasaki has officially unveiled its new dual-sport motorcycle, the KLX 230, in India. However, the official price will only be revealed in December, potentially at the India Bike Week 2024.

Kawasaki KLX 230 Price

Bookings for the Kawasaki KLX 230 have begun at ₹5,000, but the final price announcement is expected in December 2024.

Kawasaki KLX 230 Design and Competition

The KLX 230 sports a minimalistic yet purposeful design aimed at reducing damage during off-road riding. It features a small headlight with a cowl, a high-set mudguard, a small fuel tank, and a stubby tail. With a seat height of 880mm, the bike is built for adventure and rugged use. The KLX 230 will be available in two colour options: Lime Green and Battle Gray. It will compete with the Hero Xpulse 200 4V in the Indian market.

Kawasaki KLX 230 Engine Specifications

The KLX 230 is powered by a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 18.3Nm at 6,400rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox, which Kawasaki claims ensures a strong low and mid-range grunt, while also making it easier to cruise on highways. The bike has a tubular steel frame, a 37mm telescopic fork at the front, and a link-type mono-shock at the rear with adjustable preload.

In addition, it features 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, both equipped with MRF tires. The KLX 230 boasts a generous 265mm ground clearance and a lightweight body, tipping the scales at 139kg, making it highly manoeuvrable for off-road use. Braking is managed by a 265mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, with switchable ABS for more control during off-road rides.

Additionally, the KLX 230 comes equipped with a fully digital display and smartphone connectivity, adding a modern touch to its rugged appeal.
