Mercedes Benz E-Class launched at Rs 78.50 lakh in India: Top features, engine specifications, more

Mercedes-Benz India launched the E-Class facelift at Rs 78.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It is the facelifted version of E-Class and rivals the BMW 5 Series.

New E-Class launched: Mercedes-Benz India launched the E-Class facelift at Rs 78.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in India today. It is the facelift version of E-Class and it gets updated exteriors, more luxurious cabins, and a powerful engine. The E-Class rivals the BMW 5 Series LWB in India. The company is offering the E-Class in two variants and three engine options. Additionally, it is offering features such as all four electrically adjustable seats, ventilated seats, a 56-inch hyperscreen, and multiple driving modes to name a few.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class price and variants:

The company has launched the E-Class for Rs 78.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It is available in three variants. The entry-level E 200 variant starts at Rs 78.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The car costs Rs 81.5 lakh (ex-showroom) for the E 220 d, and Rs 92.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the E 450 trim. The new E-Class is available in two variants, the Avantgarde Line for the E 200 and E 220d and the AMG Line E 450 4MATIC.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class exterior updates:

The new E-Class gets an updated exterior design. For starters, it has a new grill, and new LED headlamps with LED DRLs, connecting the grill. From the side, it has new flush door handles and runs on 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, there are star motifs in the LED tail lamps, along with a redesigned bumper.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class interiors updates:

The company has also made changes to the interiors of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Now the cabin has a more luxurious appeal and offers plenty of space inside. It has electric adjustment for the rear seats, which enhances the experience. Aditionally, there are dual sunroofs on offer, which the company says results in a better ambiance.

With the new E-Class facelift, the company has updated the feature list as well. For starters, it offers a new 56-inch hyperscreen which is also available on other electric models by the company, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, two wireless chargers, and more. In addition to this, it also features a selfie camera, voice-assisted sunblinds, and a Burmester 4D sound system with Dolby Atmos support.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class engine specifications:

The new E-Class is now offered with three-engine options. It comes with a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which churns out 201 BHP and 320 Nm torque, mated to a nine-speed torque converter gearbox. It has a 2.0-litre diesel engine as well, which produces 197 BHP and 440 Nm torque, mated to a nine-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. The third engine on offer is the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which churns out 381BHP and 500 Nm torque, paired with a mild hybrid system, and provides an additional boost of 22 hp and 205 Nm.
