Tata Nexon, Curvv, Curvv EV score 5 stars in Bharat NCAP crash test safety rating

Tata's SUV crash test: The newly launched Tata Curvv and the Curvv EV scored five stars in the Bharat NCAP crash test, adding two more SUVs to score five stars in Tata’s SUV lineup. In addition to this, Nexon was also crash-tested and again secured a five-star safety rating from the regulatory body.  Tata Nexon was launched in September 2023 and the Curvv and the Curvv EV was launched in August 2024. All three SUVs secured a five-star safety rating in the child and adult occupancy safety rating.  

Tata Nexon variant tested and safety points in both adult and child occupancy:

Bharat NCAP tested the Fearless + variant in the diesel powertrain. For adult safety, Tata Nexon scored 29.41 points out of 32, resulting in a five-star safety rating. For child safety, the SUV scored 43.83 points out of 49 points, resulting five-star rating. Tata Nexon has a gross vehicle weight of 1638 kg. Nexon also scored a five-star safety rating from the Global NCAP crash test safety rating in February 2024. 

Tata Curvv variant tested and safety points in both adult and child occupancy:

The regulatory body tested the Accomplished + A diesel manual variant. For adult safety, Curvv scored 29.50 points out of 32, resulting in a five-star safety rating. For child safety, Curvv scored 43.66 points out of 49 points, resulting in a five-star safety rating. Tata Curvv has a gross vehicle weight of 1715 kg. 

Tata Curvv EV variant tested and safety points in both adult and child occupancy:

Bharat NCAP crash-tested the Empowered + A 55 variant of the Curvv EV, which comes with a 55 kWh battery pack. For adult safety, the coupe-SUV scored 30.81 points out of 32, resulting in a five-star safety rating. For child safety, Curvv EV scored 44.83 points out of 49, resulting in a five-star safety rating. Tata Curvv EV has a gross vehicle weight of 1983kg.
