Tesla Cybercab revealed: Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla unveiled its long-awaited robotaxi, the Cybercab at the ‘We, Robot’ event at Warner Bros. Discovery Studio in Hollywood. He showcased a prototype version of the Cybercab, which looked like a smaller and smarter version of the flagship Cybertruck.
Elon Musk pulled up to the stage in one of Tesla’s upcoming Cybercabs. This move from Musk indicated to the crowd that the AI-powered vehicles don't have steering wheels or pedals. However, all the fans of the EV maker will have to wait until at least 2026 before they are available in the market.
Tesla’s CEO also showcased a sleek minibus-looking vehicle, like the Cybercab, which would be self-driving and can carry up to 20 passengers at a time.

Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO started selling the software called Full Self-Driving of Vehicles nine years ago. But there are doubts about its reliability.
“We'll move from supervised Full Self-Driving to unsupervised Full Self-Driving. where you can fall asleep and wake up at your destination,” Elon Musk said.

According to Musk, Tesla expects the Cybercabs to cost under $30,000 (roughly Rs 25,23,000). He estimates that the Tesla Cybercabs will become available in 2026.

The Tesla Cybercab is introduced with new features. One of the standout features of the Cybercab from Tesla is its inductive charging technology. This technology reduces the need for traditional plug-in charging stations, required to charge an EV. Now, as mobile phones can be wirelessly charged, this wireless method of charging is expected to make the vehicle even more convenient for owners.

According to Musk, the Cybercab costs are projected to be as low as $0.20 per mile over time.

Tesla expects to make the Full Self-Driving technology available in its popular model lineup, for Model 3 and Model Y in Texas and California by next year.
The electric vehicle manufacturer’s vision includes not only the sale of autonomous vehicles but also the creation of a Tesla ride-hailing app. It will allow Tesla owners to add their vehicles to a fleet of robotaxis.
