Batik Air set to start Chennai-Medan flight connection from August 11

Batik Air, a subsidiary of the Lion Air Group, has revealed plans to initiate non-stop flights linking Chennai and Medan in Indonesia, with the inaugural flight set to depart on August 11. This new air route is poised to provide a direct and efficient connection between the two cities.

Operating via Kualanamu International Airport, the direct route not only offers a convenient link between Chennai and Medan but also facilitates straightforward access to other prominent Indonesian destinations such as Bali, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Lombok, and Labuan Bajo.

The airline's announcement underscores the robust bilateral relations between Tamil Nadu and Indonesia, encompassing substantial trade engagements and significant economic interactions. The shared cultural affinities and linguistic parallels further contribute to the strong rapport between these regions.

Batik Air has emphasised that travellers from Tamil Nadu can expect an immersive Indonesian experience right from the moment they step onto their aircraft.

Equipped with Airbus 320-200 and Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, Batik Air promises a memorable and tailored journey for passengers, accommodating both business and economy class preferences.
