In Tesla’s flashy event, Elon Musk handed over the first Tesla Cybertrucks to a select group of customers, including notable figures like Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and Trousdale Ventures CEO Phillip Sarofim. The live-streamed delivery showcased the futuristic electric pickup's unique features with the trademark pomp and music associated with Tesla events.
The Cybertruck deliveries have come after six years after Musk first tweeted about building a truck and four years since its futuristic debut. The short 30-minute livestream revealed details about the Cybertruck's three configurations.
The entry-level model, priced at $60,990 with a 250-mile range and rear-wheel drive, is expected to be available in 2025. The all-wheel-drive variant boasts a 341-mile range, a top speed of 112 mph, and a $79,990 starting price. The high-performance Cyberbeast, priced at $99,990, features a 320-mile range, 845 horsepower, and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
Tesla also introduced a range extender option for both the all-wheel-drive version and the Cyberbeast, with claimed ranges of 470 miles and over 440 miles, respectively. However, details on pricing for the range extender remain undisclosed.

The production Cybertrucks share common features, such as a drag coefficient of 0.335, 35-inch all-terrain tires, a six-foot by four-foot composite truck bed, and a front trunk. Notably, the Cybertruck's exterior boasts armoured glass resistant to impact, a feature that faced challenges during testing in 2019 but now appears improved.
Inside, the Cybertruck features an 18.5-inch infinity touchscreen in the front, a 9.4-inch touchscreen in the back, a 15-speaker sound system, a built-in HEPA air filter, and various charging outlets.
