The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) began a two-day meeting yesterday, with investors closely watching for any signals on the central bank’s next move. 

Many market observers expect the Fed to keep rates unchanged, as the chances of a rate cut appear to be minimal at this point.

 The meeting is currently underway, as it was scheduled for March 18 and 19. The usual press conference regarding policy decisions and potential rate cuts will be held by Fed Chair Jerome Powell on March 19 at 2:30 PM ET (March 20, 1:00 AM IST). Interest Rate Kept Unchanged 

In the previous meeting, held on January 28-29, the FOMC maintained the interest rate unchanged between 4.25% and 4.50% and where Fed Chair Jerome Powell also highlighted the importance of steady rate cuts to control unemployment and inflation . "We remain committed to supporting maximum employment, bringing inflation sustainably to our 2 percent goal, and keeping longer-run inflation expectations well anchored," Fed Chair Jerome Powell said during the media address on January 29.
