IG Drones gets survey contract for Uttarakhand Metro Rail Project

Drone technology and analytics company IG Drones, has bagged the contract to survey the Uttarakhand Metro Rail Project. This initiative is a part of the Neo Metro System, marks the nation's first foray into constructing a Personalized Rapid Transit (PRT) corridor.

The main objective is to deal with the addressing traffic congestion, the Neo Metro Project plans to establish cutting-edge rapid transit systems in Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh within the next four years.

IG Drones will play an important role in the project by utilising domestically developed drones equipped with advanced sensors.

These drones have the ability to capture high-resolution images, videos and additional data from the challenging terrains of the project. Leveraging their proprietary software, IG One, the company will process this data to provide comprehensive technical insights and analytics, enabling real-time tracking of the project's progress.

Founder and CEO IG Drones Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya said that surveying a metro rail project in such tough terrain is a challenging task in itself. The company has the latest drone technology and software to monitor such projects in detail.

The company had also received the contract for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project Surveying, last year.

IG Drones had earlier revealed Skyhawk, India's first 5G-enabled drone. Skyhawk was launched by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Railways, Communications, and Electronics & Information Technology. Skyhawk is equipped with advanced sensors and artificial intelligence functionalities, making it suitable for diverse applications ranging from border surveillance to medical and defense sectors.
