Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's son Zain Nadella passes away at 26
Satya Nadella's son Zain Nadella was suffering from cerebral palsy and he died on Monday morning.

In a shocking development, Microsoft Corporation said Zain Nadella, son of Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella and his wife Anu, died Monday morning, reported Bloomberg. Zain Nadella was 26 years old and had been born with cerebral palsy. The report further mentioned that the software maker told its executive staff in an email that Zain had passed away. The message asked executives to hold the family in their thoughts and prayers while giving them space to grieve privately.
After taking charge as the CEO role in 2014, Satya Nadella had focused the company on designing products to better serve users with disabilities and cited lessons he learned raising and supporting his son. Last year, the Children’s Hospital, where Zain received much of his treatment, joined with the Nadellas to establish the Zain Nadella Endowed Chair in Pediatric Neurosciences, as part of Seattle Children’s Center for Integrative Brain Research, mentioned Bloomberg report. Born with cerebral palsy, Zain was born weighing just 3 pounds and suffered asphyxiation in utero.

Last month, on the occasion of Republic Day, the Government of India had announced the Microsoft CEO among the 17 prominent personalities who were conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan this 73rd Indian Republic Day. Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Corporation Satya Nadella had responded saying that he was “thankful” to be deemed worthy of India’s third-highest civilian award. Taking to his official Twitter handle, the CEO of Microsoft Corporation thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, and the people of India for such a token of respect and dignity, and that the award motivates him to achieve more.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella joins India's online investment platform Grow
Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Corporation Satya Nadella on January 2022 joined India's online investment platform Groww, Lalit Keshre, Groww CEO announced on the micro-blogging platform. According to Keshre, Nadela has joined the firm as an investor and advisor. "Groww gets one of the world's best CEOs as an investor and advisor. Thrilled to have @satyanadella join us in our mission to make financial services accessible in India," Keshre said on Saturday. However, he did not disclose details about Nadella's induction into the online financial firm.
