PM Modi opens the Surat airport's new terminal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new terminal at Surat Airport in Gujarat on Sunday. According to officials, the terminal can handle up to 55 lakh people annually. 
During peak hours, 1200 domestic and 600 foreign passengers are anticipated to use the facility. Additionally, the terminal is able to accommodate 3,000 passengers during peak hours. 
According to the official statement, the terminal's design incorporates the local culture and heritage to ensure that its essence is reflected both inside and outside, giving tourists a sense of place.
