Ratan Tata admitted to Breach Candy after blood pressure drops: Report
Former Tata Sons chairman Ratan Tata's condition is reportedly stable.
Former Tata Sons Chairman and scion of India Inc. Ratan Tata was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Monday, October 7 where doctors have declared his condition to be stable and not critical, according to various media reports.
86-year old Tata was rushed to the hospital after his blood pressure dropped.
Tata was reportedly rushed to hospital during early hours on Monday at around 12:30-1:00 am and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where a team of cardiologist Dr Shahrukh Apsi Golwalla is monitoring his condition. As pr reports Tata is under observation by intensivists and is receiving the best possible medical care.
Ratan Tata, one of India’s most respected and influential industrialists, is synonymous with the growth and global expansion of the Tata Group. Tata is the great-grandson of Jamsetji Tata, the founder of the Tata Group, one of India’s oldest and largest conglomerates. With a career spanning over six decades, Ratan Tata has made a strong impact on India’s business landscape and philanthropic sector.
Tata was born into a prominent Parsi family, but he faced challenges early in life as his parents separated when he was just 10 years old. He was raised by his grandmother, Lady Navajbai Tata. Ratan Tata completed his schooling in India and later moved to the United States, where he earned a degree in Architecture and Structural Engineering from Cornell University in 1962.
