Toyota Kirloskar launches Rumion, aims to boost presence in MPV segment
Rumion comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched its all-new model Rumion in India on Thursday, aiming to further strengthen its position in the robustly growing domestic multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment.
The seven-seater comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. Rumion also features a CNG trim.

Pricing and bookings
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said that the prices and booking date of the model will be announced in due course. It said that the vehicle would be available from the early holiday season in dealerships for deliveries.

TKM Vice President (Sales and Strategic Marketing) Atul Sood said that the Rumion would be launched in the market in the upcoming festive season.

"We aim to cater to the evolving needs of families, providing them with comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. We are confident that it will bring unparalleled joy to our esteemed customers," he noted.
TKM said that the model has a fuel efficiency of 20.51 km per litre for the petrol variant and 26.11 km per kg for the CNG variant.
Market share
TKM is a leading player in the domestic MPV vertical. The company expects the launch of the latest model to further boost its presence in the vertical.
The company has a market share of over 30 per cent in the domestic MPV segment.
Rumion would be produced by Maruti Suzuki and then supplied to TKM as per the global collaboration pact signed between Toyota and Suzuki.
