Delhi Nursery School Admissions 2024: Registration begins today, here's how to register

The online registrations for admission to Nursery, KG, and Class 1 in private schools in Delhi are all set to begin in November have begun today.

The online registrations for admission to Nursery, KG, and Class 1 in private schools in Delhi are all set to begin in November have begun today. The last date to submit the forms is December 15. The online admission forms can be accessed from the official website- http://www.edudel.nic.in/. 

As per the schedule, the first list of admissions will be out on January 12, 2024.  There is a 25 percent reservation of seats for economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged group (DG) students, and children with disabilities in private schools. A separate list will be released for them.

Delhi School Admissions: Eligibility Criteria

For admission in pre-school (nursery)- The minimum age as on March 31 should be three years and the upper age limit is four years.

For admission in pre-primary (KG)- The minimum age as on March 31 should be four years and the upper age limit is five years.

For admission in Class-1-  The minimum age as on March 31 should be five years and the upper age limit is six years.

"Age relaxation for admission of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of the head of school in the minimum and upper-age limits for these classes"," the notice reads.

Application Fees

Buying of the prospectus is not mandatory along with the admission form and only Rs 25 can be charged as a registration fee from parents, the notification stated.

Documents required for nursery admission in Delhi

Birth certificate or passport of the child
Residence proof of both permanent and current addresses
Photo ID proof of both the parents and child
