Mumbai: The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has officially started the registration process for the MBA Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2024. Prospective candidates can register at the official portal, mba2024.mahacet.org.in. The CET cell has also released the MAH MBA counselling schedule for 2024, with the last date to apply being July 22.
The MAH MBA CAP 2024 process involves multiple steps: online registration, document scanning and uploading, e-verification of documents, choice-filling and confirmation, seat acceptance, payment of seat acceptance fees, and reporting to the respective institutes.
The counselling is for admission to the first year of MBA and MMS programs in government, government-aided, university-managed institutes, university-managed departments, and unaided private professional educational institutes in Maharashtra. Additionally, it includes PGDM programs at the Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education, Mumbai, for the academic year 2024-25.
Candidates from Maharashtra must have completed at least a three-year bachelor’s degree from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved candidates) and passed the MAH MBA CET 2024.
All India candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and valid marks in one of the following exams:
Candidates who registered for MAH MBA CET 2024 do not need to pay a registration fee. Other applicants must pay the following fees via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI:

The CET cell has informed that the schedule for choice-filling and CAP allotment will be announced soon. Key dates are as follows:

Candidates are advised to adhere to the deadlines and ensure all required documents are submitted accurately for a smooth admission process.
Stage 1: Registration
Step 1: Candidates must apply and register for the counselling process online. They need to enter personal details such as name, contact information, category, correspondence address, email ID, etc.
Step 2: Candidates must provide their educational qualifications to participate in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for MAH CET MBA 2024.
Stage 2: Verification of Documents
Step 3: Candidates must upload documents as per the specifications provided by the authorities.
Step 4: The State Common Entrance Test Cell will release a provisional merit list of selected candidates. Those with issues can submit their grievances. The final merit lists will be displayed on the official website.
Step 5: Candidates will be able to view the category-wise seat matrix for CAP Rounds I and further rounds, if applicable. Check out the List of Documents Required for MBA CET CAP Round 2024.
Stage 3: MBA CET Seat Allotment and Preference Filling
Step 6: Candidates will be given the option to select their preferred courses and institutions before the first round of MAH CET MBA CAP 2024. Once confirmed, these preferences will be used for seat allotment in the CAP rounds without further changes.
Step 7: The State Common Entrance Test Cell will display the provisional allotment list for the CAP rounds, indicating the institute and courses allotted to candidates. Seat allotment will be based on candidates' scores in MAH CET MBA 2024, Xavier’s Aptitude Test, MAT, GMAT, CAT, CMAT, ATMA, academic qualifications, and other factors.
Stage 4: Appear for CAP (Centralized Admission Process)
Step 8: Shortlisted candidates must report to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) to accept the seats offered according to the CAP allotment rounds.
Step 9: The State Common Entrance Test Cell will set up around 300 to 340 Facilitation Centres (FCs) in participating institutes of MAH CET MBA 2024 for admission in the academic year 2025-2026.
Step 10: If candidates are not satisfied with the allotment, they can surrender their seats to participate in the next CAP round to secure a better MBA college in Maharashtra.
In MAH CET CAP rounds 2024, candidates have three options:
(a) Freeze: Candidates who accept the seats offered and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allocation can freeze their seats. These candidates will not be called for subsequent admission rounds.
(b) Slide/Float: Candidates who accept the seat offered but also wish to be considered for higher preferences if available can choose this option. These candidates will be considered in subsequent admission rounds and will be notified accordingly.
