New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has initiated the choice filling process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) counselling today. Candidates who possess a valid NEET UG score and meet the eligibility criteria for admission in the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats can now submit their preferred choices of institutions or medical colleges and courses.
The choice filling process, which is crucial for securing a seat in desired medical colleges, allows candidates to submit as many choices as they wish, in the order of their preference. The MCC has provided a common software platform for AIQ, deemed universities, central universities, BSc Nursing, AIIMS, JIPMER, AMU, and BHU to streamline the process.
Candidates opting for deemed universities are advised to verify the fee structure and additional costs on the respective colleges' official portals before finalizing their choices. The MCC has highlighted that some All-India Quota colleges may have a higher fee structure, which candidates should be aware of.
The counselling process will proceed with the NEET UG seat allotment based on the candidates' merit and the choices they have filled. The correction window for the MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 will be available on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
