TNEA Rank List 2024 OUT, Here's How To Download; Counselling To Begin on July 22, Schedule Here

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list 2024 today, July 10. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download their TNEA 2024 rank list through the official website, tneaonline.org by logging in using their application number and password.  A step-by-step guide to download the rank list has been given below. 

How to check TNEA Rank List 2024

Go to the TNEA official website- tneaonline.org.

On the homepage, click on the TNEA 2024 rank list link that will be flashing on the homepage

Key in the required login credentials and click on the submit button.

TNEA rank list 2024 will be displayed on the screen.

Download and take its printout.

TNEA 2024 Counselling

The selection of candidates will be based on the marks scored in the prescribed subjects, reduced to a total of 200 points (Mathematics: 100, Physics + Chemistry: 100) in the examination. The authorities use a normalisation process to prepare the TNEA rank list.

Candidates who clear TNEA 2024 will be eligible to register for the counselling. In the process, they will have to select their preferred choices of colleges and courses. The seat allotment result will be based on the rank list, availability of seats and the preferences given by the candidates. 

This year, over two lakh students have registered for TNEA engineering counselling. A 10% increase from the previous year has been recorded. There are approximately 1.8 lakh seats available across 470 engineering colleges which will be filled after counselling. 

DoTE has also released the engineering counseling schedule on July 10. Candidates can submit their grievances from July 11 to 20. Counseling for Government (7.5 per cent) Special Reservation categories, General Special Reservation categories, and General categories will be conducted online.
