Bihar STET, DElEd Exams 2024 Postponed by BSEB; Check Latest Update Here

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the postponement of the D.El.Ed. (Face-to-Face) first-year examination and the STET 2024 (First) examination scheduled for June 18, 2024, due to the Bakrid festival on June 17, 2024.

The D.El.Ed. first-year exams for the 2023-25 session were originally set to take place from June 18 to June 25, 2024. In light of the Bakrid celebrations, the board has decided to postpone the exam scheduled for June 18 to accommodate the candidates' needs. The new date for this exam will be announced later.

The remaining exams will proceed as per the original schedule from June 19, 2024.

Additionally, the STET 2024 (First) Paper-II exam for classes 11-12, also scheduled for June 18, has been postponed for the same reason. The rescheduled date for this exam will be communicated in due course.

“In view of Bakrid on June 17, 2024, the first day of the D.El.Ed. examination scheduled for June 18, 2024, has been postponed by the committee in the interest of the candidates. Information regarding the rescheduled examination date will be provided later,” an official statement said.

“Additionally, Paper-II (Class 11-12) under STET 2024 (First), which was to be conducted on June 18, 2024, has also been postponed,” it added.

The STET Bihar board exam comprises two papers: Paper 1 for recruiting secondary school teachers and Paper 2 for recruiting senior secondary teachers.

The Bihar School Examination Board's decision aims to ensure that candidates can observe the Bakrid festival without any academic pressures. Further updates will be provided by the board regarding the new examination dates.
