CBSE Board practical exams 2024 to begin on January 1, marks distribution table released

CBSE Board Practical Exams 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for Class 10 and Class 12 practical exams, project works and internal assessment for the 2023-24 academic session. The CBSE practical exams will be held from January 1, 2024 for all the CBSE-affiliated schools in India and abroad.

Earlier, the CBSE board had announced that for schools situated in the winter-bound areas which are expected to remain closed in January due to the winter season, the practical exams for these school students will be conducted between November 15 and December 14, 2023.

The CBSE annual theory board exam will begin on February 15, 2024, of which the detailed date sheet is awaited. 

Moreover, the board has also issued a list of Classes 10th and 12th subjects with internal marks weightage to help the schools conduct the practical exams smoothly. The details provided by CBSE include class, subject code, subject name, maximum marks for theory exam, maximum marks for practical exam, maximum marks for project assessment, and maximum marks for internal assessment. The circular also mentions whether an external examiner will be appointed for the CBSE practical exam assessment, whether or not practical answer books will be provided to the students, and the type of answer books that will be used in the theory exams.
