New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) on Thursday announced that Class 12 students who may miss the Hindi Core (302) and Hindi Elective (002) exams on March 15, 2025, due to Holi celebrations, will be given a special opportunity to appear for the exam on a later date.
Although Holi falls on March 14, 2025, CBSE acknowledged that festivities may continue on March 15 in some areas, preventing some students from attending the exam.
In an official statement, CBSE confirmed that the Hindi Core and Hindi Elective exams will proceed as scheduled on March 15. However, students unable to appear due to Holi celebrations will not be forced to do so.
CBSE stated that a special exam will be organized for students missing the Hindi papers, along with exams conducted for students who miss their papers due to participation in National or International-level sports events. This is in line with CBSE’s existing policy to ensure fairness.
The board clarified that this step was taken in the interest of students while ensuring the importance and integrity of the Board examinations remain intact.
Students are advised to regularly check CBSE’s official website for further updates regarding the special exam schedule.
