The UPSC Prelims 2024 is just around the corner, scheduled for June 16, and the pressure is on for aspirants. In these final days, it is crucial to stay calm and focused. Abhishek Gupta, CEO, Rau’s IAS Study Circle has shared some dos and don’ts to help you perform your best:
Revision Plan: Avoid trying to relearn everything. Focus on revising key topics and improving your attention to the necessary subjects.
Practice Mock Tests: Take a few mock tests to adapt to the exam environment and increase your speed. This will help you brush up on your knowledge.
Organize Your Documents: The night before the exam, ensure you have your admit card, a valid ID, and any other required documents. Keep them safe to avoid last-minute panic.
Plan Your Route: If possible, visit your exam center beforehand to familiarize yourself with the location and travel time. Plan to arrive early on exam day to reduce stress.
Get Enough Rest: Ensure you get a good night's sleep before the exam. A well-rested mind performs better, while a tired brain struggles to concentrate and retain information.
Eat Healthy: Maintain your energy levels with light, nutritious meals. Avoid junk food, sugary drinks, and caffeine. Stay hydrated with water.
Stay Positive: Believe in yourself and the hard work you’ve put in. Positive thinking boosts confidence and can enhance your performance.

Don't Ignore Instructions: Read the instructions on your admit card carefully. They contain important details you need to know.
Don't Discuss Excessively: While discussing can be helpful, overdoing it can lead to anxiety and confusion.

Don't Carry Prohibited Items: Ensure you do not bring any gadgets, notes, or other banned items into the exam hall. Follow the guidelines strictly.
Don't Stress During the Exam: If you get stuck on a question, move on and return to it later if time permits. Focus on answering questions you are confident about to manage your time efficiently.
You’ve worked hard and come a long way in your preparation. Now, trust yourself and stay calm. The UPSC Prelims is just one step in your journey toward success. Stay focused and composed. Follow these tips, and you’ll be ready to face the exam confidently.
