AP TET 2024 Postponed; Exam in October, Registration Deadline Extended

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, Department of School Education has postponed Andhra Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2024.

New Delhi: The Government of Andhra Pradesh, Department of School Education has postponed Andhra Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2024 that was scheduled to be held in August. AP TET 2024 will now be held from October 3 to 20.  Moreover, the registration deadline has also been extended. AP DSE has released a revised schedule for registration and exam dates. The AP TET registration window that opened on July 3 was earlier scheduled to close on July 17. As per the revised schedule, candidates can register till August 3. 

The APTET 2024 will be held in two sessions- 9.30 am to 12 noon and 2.30 pm to 5 pm. The APTET 2024 hall tickets will be released on September 22. The online mock test link will be available from September 19.

AP TET 2024 answer key will be released a day after each exam starting from October 4. The revised answer key will be out on October 27 and the APTET result 2024 will be declared on November 2, 2024.

Candidates can register online at cse.ap.gov.in. The online application fee for each paper i.e. Paper-I A, Paper-I B, Paper-II A, and Paper-II B is Rs 750, separately.

How to register for AP TET 2024

  1. Visit the official website- cse.ap.gov.in
  2. Click on the APTET 2024 tab
  3. Now, click on the payment link and pay the registration fee
  4. Proceed for registration by clicking on the link that reads - ‘Application’
  5. Generate your login ID and log in using the credentials
  6. Fill out the application form correctly and submit.

AP TET 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who possess D.EL.Ed. / B.Ed or its equivalent qualifications shown in Information Bulletin and candidates pursuing final semester of the said courses with requisite percentage of marks obtained as given in Information Bulletin of APTET can appear for APTET-July-2024. However, the candidates intending to seek employment as a teacher in private unaided schools following Central or State syllabus shall have the option of appearing at CTET conducted by Central Government through CBSE instead of APTET, if they so desire. Those candidates who desire to improve their APTET score shall also apply for APTET-JULY -2024.

The candidate who intends to be teachers for Classes I to V have to appear for Paper-1A and the candidates intending to be teachers for Classes VI to VIII have to appear for paper-2A. The candidate who intends to be teachers for Classes I to V in Special Education Schools have to appear for the examination under Paper -1B and the candidates who intends to be teachers for Classes from VI to VIII have to appear for paper-2B in respect of Special Education Schools. The candidates who are having both D.El.Ed. and B.Ed. qualifications, intended to be teachers for all Classes from I to VIII are only eligible to appear for all papers, i.e. Paper-1A , Paper-1B, Paper-2A and Paper-2B as per requisite qualifications.

AP TET is conducted for all those aspiring to be Teachers in the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, A.P. Model Schools, A.P Residential Schools, all Welfare Society Schools, Private Aided Schools and Private Un-aided schools etc., under the control of Andhra Pradesh State for classes I to VIII.
