New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to release the much-anticipated notification for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2024 today. As per SSC Calendar, SSC CGL Notification was scheduled to be out on June 11. However, it was not released ob the scheduled date. Candidates can expect the same soon. This notification will detail the recruitment of candidates for various Group B and Group C posts, including Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Inspector (Examiner), Sub Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Divisional Accountant, Inspector, Assistant Superintendent, Inspector of Income Tax, Senior Secretariat Assistant/Upper Division Clerks, Auditor, Tax Assistant, Accountant/Junior Accountant, Junior Statistical Officer, and Statistical Investigator Grade-II.
Key Dates and Application Process
The notification will be available on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. Graduates can apply online from the release date until the last date of application, which is July 10, 2024. Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the official website for updates and detailed information.
Vacancy Details
The specific number of vacancies for 2024 will be announced with the notification. Last year, the SSC CGL exam notified 8,440 vacancies across various posts.
Educational Qualification:
- A graduate degree from a recognized university is mandatory for all posts.
- For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) posts, candidates need either a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% in mathematics at the 12th-grade level or a bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the subjects.
- For Compiler posts, a bachelor’s degree with Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics as a compulsory or elective subject is required.
Age Limit:
- The minimum and maximum age limits vary depending on the post and category, generally ranging from 18 to 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Nationality:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Selection Process
The SSC CGL 2024 selection process consists of two tiers:
Tier-I:
- A computer-based objective test covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and English Language.
Tier-II:
- Another computer-based objective test focusing on Mathematics, Statistics, and English Language Comprehension for specific posts.
