WBCS prelims admit card expected next week, check exam pattern here

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is going to release the admit card for its state level civil services prelims exam 2023 in a week. WBPSC will conduct WBCS prelims exam on December 16. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to beheld on November 5.
WBCS Prelims Admit Card 2023 date
For the December 16 exam, candidates can expect their hall tickets next week. Usually, WBPSC released the WBCS prelims admit card around 15 days before the exam date. Once the admit card is released, candidates will be able to download the same from the official website- wbpsc.gov.in.
WBCS selection process and exam patterns
Candidates will be selected for appointment on the basis of their performance in preliminary exam followed by a main exam and interview. WBCS prelims exam will be held for 200 marks carrying 200 questions from various sections like- English, General Science, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Current events, Indian national movement and general mental ability. The duration of the exam will be two hours.
WBCS Main Examination shall consist of six compulsory papers and one optional subject consisting of two papers (Only for candidates applying for group A and/or B) to be chosen by the candidates from the list of optional subjects. There will be two papers of the optional subject of 200 marks each. Each paper, Compulsory or Optional, will carry 200 marks and the duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
