Tamali Saha, 23, has accomplished a ground-breaking feat by passing the extremely difficult Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) test in her first try. The 23-year-old is a Bengali native who attended school in her village of North 24 Parganas before travelling to Kolkata to pursue her undergraduate degree in zoology at Calcutta University. She also completed the Satyendranath Tagore Civil Services Study Center's UPSC crash course (SNTCSSC).

The young girl showed steadfast will to ace the UPSC exam during her time as an undergraduate. In 2020, her unwavering dedication and persistence paid off as she not only passed the UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination on her first try but also earned the highly sought-after position of Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer.
