Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu writes to CEC: "Likely that many voters who returned may not come back for voting even if polling is resumed after replacement/repair of existing EVMs.Therefore repolling needed in all polling stations where polling had not commenced up to 9.30am."

Voter turnout recorded till 9 am - 13.3% in Arunachal Pradesh.

Along with the first phase of Lok Sabha elections that kick-started, the Legislative Assembly Elections 2019 in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha also simultaneously began on April 11. 

While Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim will go to polls in the single phase (April 11), voting in Odisha's 147 constituencies will witness elections in four phases (April 11, 18, 23 and 29). 

Sikkim will see voting in all 32 constituencies.

Andhra Pradesh to go to polls in 175 seats.

Arunachal Pradesh will see voting in 60 constituencies.

The counting of votes for all the four states will take place on May 23.

Meanwhile, voting is underway in 91 Lok Sabha seats in 20 states and Union territories.
