The BJP has launched its 'Sankalp Patra' election manifesto at an event at its New Delhi headquarters on Monday in the presence of PM Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other leaders of the party.
Terming its manifesto as 'will of the people', the party presented its vision and promised the youth of the country new opportunities of employment.
Speaking about the youth of the Nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said:
"India is a youthful country. A country with such a major percentage of youth has the capability to change not only its own, but fate of the entire world."
Some of the highlights on promises that the BJP did to the youth of the nation in its 'Sankalp Patra' are, under 'Yuva Bharat, Tomorrow's India':
'We aim to cover all secondary schools under Operation Digital Board.'
'We aim to enable investment of 1 lakh crore in higher education through Revitalising Infrastructure and Systems in education (RISE).'
'We will launch a new scheme to provide collateral-free credit up to Rs 50 lakh for entrepreneurs.'
'We will guaranty a 25% loan amount for female entrepreneurs and 50% loan amount to male entrepreneurs.'
'We will incentivise and reward self-organised groups of youth who adopt social assets like schools, hospitals etc.'
'We will create new opportunities of employment by providing support to 22 major Champion sectors identified as main drivers of Indian economy.'
'We will support the creation of mini-stadium in each sub-district.'
'We will promote the Fit India campaign as an integral part of building a culture of sports in India.'
