Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar's row sees new developments each passing day with more celebrities from the industry extending their support. In an event that took place for the promotions of a song from their upcoming film 'Namaste England', Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra shared their thoughts on the ongoing issue.

Parineeti said, "Honestly, I really hope that this is not the beginning of a me too movement because that will mean that there are many stories like this. I hope that this is the first and the last story if this is the truth. Having said that, if there are any victims in the industry especially women, women in the industry, actresses, if they have suffered something similar, I said it in my tweet also, to every woman out there to come out and speak because if they don't speak now, they will forever be suppressed.

Personally, I have never gone through such an experience but if it would have happened to me, I would have never kept quite which is why I don't think keeping is the solution. I am not taking sides because I wasn't there so I don't know but if it has happened, it is the worst thing to have happened to a woman. If we can't feel protected in our country then how can I live or do anything when I work. I hope this is all untrue but if it has happened all support her even the men."

Arjun said, "I have two of my sisters in this industry. As a human being who has sisters, as a human being living in this country, let every woman feel safe. In all this chaos, we are missing the point that it happens everywhere. Today a girl has come out to bring light to this which is prevalent everywhere, it is a reality. She tried to bring a reality out if it is the reality. The problem is we dont listen first. That girl has come out and spoken about something that is so dreaded that you think a billion times in this country before coming out and speaking about it. So she deserves to be heard before taking sides, being judged, pointing fingers or making it into a movement. We have to listen to her, you have to understand, we have to process all this. This issue is prevalent in every nooks and corner of the country but nobody ever spoke about it in the media. As men, we have to give equality to women. We have to create a safe working environment.

I feel so proud sitting in an environment where there are more women than men when I deal with the media. When we are on sets, there are assistants who are girls, there are technicians who are girls. We have to create an environment where we can allow this country-wide situation. We have to hear them out. But in the end of the day, we are making noise for the wrong reasons, if we are making noise, we must make noise for the right reasons. Yes, our industry has had this moment and we need to introspect there are no two ways about it. And we all are part of a country and a community so don't point fingers until we all make sure we aren't allowing this to happen to any woman in the country otherwise we are all failing on a daily basis.

In the meantime, Nana Patekar is expected to take a press conference on October 8 post his arrival from Jaisalmer, Tanushree is putting her legal team in place. The security outside her house has also been beefed up with Mumbai Police making sure there's no nuisance that gets created in the vicinity. She released yet another statement on October 3, saying, "Raj Thackeray's MNS party which are threatening This on top of other threats issued to me from Nana's side. Amidst all this, the Mumbai police has reached out and offered their support. They have promised me 24 hours police protection and have posted their armed personnel around my home. I would like to thank the Mumbai police force for coming forward to protect me and helping me strengthen my resolve."

Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual misconduct during the shoot of a song from 'Horn Ok Please' back in 2008. The news that resurfaced a decade later has taken a legal turn now with both the parties seeking legal help.
