Janhvi Kapoor has condemned the Pulwama terror attack in the strongest terms and has also slammed a pathetic Pakistan daily that has extolled the terrorist as a freedom fighter. The 'Dhadak' actress took to social media and criticized the 'cowardly' move of the Pakistani-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed. Expressing her anger and grief, the actress hit out at a Pakistani media house for reporting the terror attack as a fight for freedom.

She penned a long note on Instagram criticizing the report by the Pakistani media house and identified it as a 'propagandist article'. She further stated that it is irresponsibility on the part of the media house that they have distorted the truths of such a condemnable act to suit their political agendas.

In the post she wrote, "The reasons to be angered and hurt are plenty. The one that upsets me the most is that our men didn’t even get the chance to fight for themselves. The second photo is of a propagandist article that is celebrating this terrorist attack as a fight for freedom. It’s tragic and irresponsible that the truths of such a condemnable act are being distorted by the media to suit their political agendas. These men have been robbed of not just their lives but also the respect that they deserve as protectors of a nation. Let’s pray for the souls of our brave men and for the strength of their families. #jaihind 🇮🇳"

Here's the post:

40 CRPF Jawans were martyred on Thursday and many suffered severe injuries in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade. Numerous celebrities and Bollywood stars including Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra, Anupam Kher, and Preity Zinta among others have expressed their shock and outrage over the incident.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that the perpetrators of the attack will have to pay for their deed. In fact, the attack was strongly condemned across the globe as several countries came out in support of India. The White House has asked Pakistan to immediately end being "support" and "safe haven" to all terror groups as it condemned the Pulwama terrorist attack.
