Sooraj Pancholi breaks down at the trailer launch of Satellite Shankar

Hero actor Sooraj Pancholi has finally broken his silence over the Jiah Khan suicide case. During the trailer launch of his new movie Satellite Shankar, Sooraj Pancholi was seen in tears talking about the case. Pancholi spoke about how he was accused of something he didn’t do. He even spoke about being behind bars at the age of 21. Here’s all that happened during the trailer launch of Satellite Shankar.

What happened at the trailer launch of Satellite Shankar?

While interacting with the media people during the trailer launch of his upcoming movie, Sooraj Pancholi spoke about the Jiah Khan case. He also stated that he doesn’t have 14-20 more years for the judgement to be made. According to statements given to a leading daily, Pancholi said he has been struggling in life over the past seven years. He was put behind bars when he was 21 for something he hasn't done. He further added that he does not want to hype the issue anymore and believes in our legal system.

However, he added that he is running out of patience while waiting for the verdict. He further added that he believes in court procedure, but it has been very time-consuming and he doesn’t have the patience to wait for the judgement for another 14 or 20 years. The Nishabd actor, Jiah Khan, committed suicide in June 2013 by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in her house. Her then-boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi, was arrested with abetment to suicide after her mother accused Sooraj of several other crimes.

Sooraj Pancholi will be seen on the silver screen after four years. He starred opposite Athiya Shetty in the movie Hero. The actor will next be seen opposite South star, Megha Akash, who makes her Bollywood debut in Satellite Shankar. The movie is directed and written by Irfan Kamal. During the trailer launch, producers Ashwini Verde and Murad Khetani were present along with the director and the lead actors. Satellite Shankar is slated to hit the theatres on November 15, 2019.
