With Avengers: Infinity War triggering the beginning of the end of the decade-long current iteration of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, interest in the series is at an all-time high.

As such, ever since Iron Man (2008) set the tone for what the series of films was going to be like, and The Avengers (2012) demonstrated the potential of superhero extravaganzas, looking forward to the various new films in the series and the associated guesswork has been on a similar level to other large franchises, like Harry Potter, Star Wars, Game of Thrones and certainly more than the rival DC Universe. Now, however, there are but three films left before everything changes (if it hasn't already) and it's quite remarkable what we still don't know.

For instance, titles of Marvel films have generally been known years in advance -- publishing a list of films that will come out years later appeared to be a speciality of Marvel, but this time around, and with only about ten months remaining, we still don't have official word of what the fourth Avengers film will be called... until now!

The next film to come out in the series is Ant-Man and the Wasp, which has already premiered and will be out in theatres in India on July 13. That one is not expected to have that much of a bearing on the larger story but has got good reviews all the same. The film that will come after it, however, has unprecedented anticipation for what is actually an origin story. That film is Captain Marvel, who was teased at the end of the dramatic events of Infinity War. The makers of the Marvel films have since tantalised their die-hard audience even more by highlighting that Captain Marvel is set in the 90s, set in space, features a younger Nick Fury, as well as a main protagonist who is at a level of power not yet seen in these films. Captain Marvel will arrive on March 8, less than two months before the big climax, for which, as we've said before, a title may just be out there now.

A website called Omega Underground was the first to notice that a prominent cinematographer, Trent Opaloch, who has worked on films primarily by Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) and Marvel (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 -- basically, with the Russo brothers) had given a full title for the Avengers 4 on his website's filmography section.

The name for Avengers 4 on Trent Opaloch's filmography was "Avengers: End Game"!

Further, the reason it 'was' is that he has since modified that entry and it now reads Avengers 4, which is a dead giveaway that something that wasn't meant to be out there, has made it past Kevin Feige, the Marvel President's, information security check!

If it is true, it would be the second time in the space of a week that a title for an upcoming Marvel film has been leaked. Earlier, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland had let slip that Spider-Man: Homecoming's sequel would be called Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Avengers: End Game as a title, also echoes something that Doctor Strange, who of all the Marvel heroes appeared to know about the cataclysm that Thanos would cause, had said towards the end of Infinity War. The Russo brothers, in a separate interview, had rejected the notion that the title would come from an Infinity War dialogue and a number of years ago, Avengers 3 & 4 were to be called Infinity War Part 1 & 2. Could all that be Marvel using the 'reality stone' though? Are we at the End Game?

Ant-Man and the Wasp releases on July 13, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, and Avengers 4 (Avengers: End Game) on May 3, 2019.
