The Yash starrer 'KGF', which was originally a Kannada film, has now grabbed nationwide attention since its release. The film has performed phenomenally well in its first three days with Sunday seeing the maximum number of footfalls. However, now that Monday has arrived, a big dip was expected but incredibly the film is still holding strong.
The Hindi version of 'KGF' did almost as well as on Saturday as it earned Rs 2.90 and is actually higher than its opening day. Thanks to great word of mouth and the pre-created hype, the Yash starrer is becoming an unstoppable juggernaut. Not only that but the film's collection in Kannada region itself has hit Rs 48.7 crore so far and is almost hitting the Rs 50 crore mark. Considering the business from the rest of the country and overseas, the film's tally now stands at an impressive Rs 77.6 crore worldwide, which is unprecedented for a Kannada film within the first week.
Thanks to the widespread release in over five different languages, the Prashant Neel directorial has succeeded in pulling off this feat. At this rate, it is easily expected to cross Rs 100 crore within the first week. It must be noted that KGF clashed directly with Shah Rukh Khan's highly anticipated 'Zero', so these figures are even more incredible taking that into consideration. Overall, the period action film is a monstrous hit without a shadow of a doubt.
