King of Kotha was released on the big screen on August 25 and failed to perform well at the box office. The Dulquer Salmaan film has witnessed a decline after receiving an opening of ₹6.6 crore in India. While the opening numbers remained modest, the film became Salmaan’s best career opener. After 10 days of theatrical run, King of Kotha has been declared a disaster at the box office.

King of Kotha bombs at box office
As per the latest figures, the Dulquer Salmaan film has failed miserably at the box office. The movie has grossed ₹15.35 crore in Kerela. In the rest of India, King of Kotha has minted ₹7.05 crore only. The film’s overseas collections stand at ₹15.90 crore. The film’s total collection amounts to just ₹38.30 crore.

Trade analyst Manobala took to his X account to declare the film as an “ultra disaster”. He noted that the movie has incurred a loss of ₹25 crores. Despite the initial boost, the film has failed to impress the Indian audience.
Dulquer Salmaan on KoK release
A day after the release of his film, Dulquer Salmaan took to his Instagram account to pen a note for his fans. He wrote, "LOVE! I have always received more love than I could ever dream of. Every single member of the audience is the reason for my being here. And I give it my all every time because of that love. Even when I stumble you all lift me up."

The Guns & Gulaabs actor continued by expressing that every day on the set of a film is a new learning experience for him. He concluded his note with, "A big hug to each one of you who are giving our film an opportunity to entertain you, we are glad to be a part of your Onam. We thank our audiences from the bottom of our hearts."
