Angelica Ross recently shared an unpleasant experience she faced, involving Emma Roberts on the sets of American Horror Story. Roberts, appears to have now apologised for a transphobic comment passed by her, directed at Ross. Ross has also officially acknowledged the same on her social media handle.

Angelica Ross' live session on Instagram saw her reveal details of the transphobic exchange she allegedly had with Emma Roberts on the sets of American Horror Story: 1984. Following this, Roberts, an American Horror Story alum, appears to have apologised to Ross. Ross acknowledged the gesture and penned a note regarding the same on her official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The note saw Ross thank Roberts for owning up to her mistake as well as encouraging her to live up to her promise of using her voice to support social justice causes. Ross' note reads, "Thank you @RobertsEmma for calling and apologizing, recognizing your behavior was not that of an ally. I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform."

What is the Emma Roberts-Angelica Ross controversy about?

During her Instagram live session on Tuesday, Ross shared details of a comment made by Roberts on the sets of AHS. In the midst of a conversation when director John J Gray asked the "ladies" to get back to work, Roberts' response to the statement was "Don’t you mean lady?" - a transphobic statement directed at Ross in lieu of her transgender identity. Ross recalls stopping all conversation with Roberts post that encounter. She also revealed how she did not speak up about the exchange at the time as she was wary of the repercussions.
