Asha Sharma Death: Popular TV and film actress Asha Sharma passed away on Sunday, August 25. She was known for her role in the long-running daily soap Kumkum Bhagya. In the movies, she was seen in a small role in Om Raut's Adipurush, fronted by Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. The news Asha's passing was shared by CINTAA's (Cine and TV Artistes Association) official X handle this afternoon. Asha was a prominent name in the television and film world. She would have turned 88 this year in October.

The cause of Asha Sharma's death remains unknown

Reportedly, Asha's last role turned out to be that of Mata Sabri in Adipurush. According to a source in the know, the veteran actress had multiple falls and was bedridden since April last year. The family put her mortal remains to rest on Sunday in Mumbai.

Asha was well known for her roles as a mother and grandmother in films and television shows. Her performance in Kumkum Bhagya was particularly well-received. In the TV serial, she replaced actress Radha Israni as Swarni Dadi in 2017.
